I’m Dr Szerenke Kovacs, most people call me Szeri.
I’m a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, Mindfulness Trainer and Self-development Course Creator. I have been in the field of Psychology since 2005, I’m a Chartered member of The British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I’m trained in a wide number of therapeutic approaches, bringing together understandings derived from relational psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based approaches and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I’m also a qualified supervisor of counsellors, Psychologists and those working in the helping profession.


In my private practice I specialize on working with trauma and anxiety disorders and also work with a wide number of difficulties that people encounter. Over the years, I have helped hundreds of clients and conducted thousands of therapy sessions. My private practice has been extremely successful, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with individuals as well as organisations. Despite being able to support a wide number of people overcoming various challenges, I often felt disheartened when I had to decline a new request, as a result of having no further availability for taking on new clients.
The desire to help as many people as possible, coupled with the knowledge and expertise in the field of Psychology, has led to the idea of creating online courses that help individuals become their own therapists through self-development.

The courses I provide are well researched and evidence-based, with the latest and up to date knowledge in the field of Psychology. I carefully developed these resources, investing extensive amount of time into them, so that the information that you receive is of the highest standard and quality.
The courses are divided into modules and sub-modules and the materials are presented to you through videos, using power-point. Within these courses I aim to guide you and offer you not only theoretical understanding of various psychological concepts, but also practical tools and techniques which help you further understand yourself, your difficulties and support and encourage you to take an active step towards change. Just as I would work with my clients on a one-to-one basis, I offer very similar materials to you.
